Amedei Chuao 70%
The only bar in the archive that no member has scored yet.
By Oscar
Chuao is a coastal village in Venezuela where cacao has been grown in the same valley, cut off from roads and supplied by boat, for centuries. Amedei, the Tuscan maker, secured an exclusive sourcing agreement with the Chuao cooperative in the early 2000s, making this origin briefly available to almost no one else. That history follows the bar into the archive. And yet the Amedei Chuao 70% sits here with a rating of zero, not because members have found it wanting, but because not one of them has broken a square and left a note. The flavor fields are empty. The score is blank. For a bar this loaded with backstory, that silence is the most interesting thing about it. Someone should change that.
